The optional diesel 6.6-liter V8 produces 445 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic. Both engines come with rear- or all-wheel drive. The standard engine can tow up to 17,400 pounds, while the diesel engine can tow up to 36,000 pounds.
The RAM 2500 offers three engine variations. A 6.4-liter V8 engine that generates 410 horsepower comes standard in the Power Wagon. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic. The other models utilize a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel inline-six with either rear- or four-wheel drive. The diesel engine comes in two versions: one that produces 370 horsepower and one that pumps out 400 horsepower.
